High Nature Value (HNV) Farmland is the most fundamental and endangered nature infrastructure of the European agricultural landscape. In spite of the fact that “HNV farmland” is a relatively new item it has evolved rather rapid as a defined term. But up to now there is only little understanding for the types and the occurrences of HNV farmland across Europe.

With this European conference the HNV farmland types as well as aspects of survey, monitoring and management across Europe shall be presented. Authors of studies, persons involved in evaluation, monitoring and preservation as well as representatives of governments of all European countries are invited. The conference shall encourage the European exchange and the network in this field.
