This Good Practice Workshop, hosted by INEA in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry, with 59 participants representing 10 Member States discussed specific challenges in identifying appropriate values for common RD indicators at regional level:

- For which impact and context indicators are regional values available?

- How can regional values be obtained?

- How to establish the baseline for these indicators?

- Is it possible to use any proxies?

At this Workshop,

- The European Commission (DG AGRI) informed the participants on what is needed and what is available at regional level;

- The Evaluation Helpdesk presented the results from a survey conducted on the different approaches in using common RD indicators in regional RDPs;

- Two national case studies from Italy (Antonella Trisorio, Patrizia Rossi and Gianpiero Calvi) and Spain (Paula Rodriguez) and one regional case from Portugal-Azores (Madga Porta) showed the use of common indicators (context and impact), the main challenges, the approaches for data collection, the lessons learnt as well as the remaining open issues.
